My day was full of sounds including music of many genres ranging from Hannah Montana to Kim Walker to Eddie Vedder. Then tonight I experienced a rare overwhelming silence.

One that takes your breath away.

When you hear that every single, external noise has gone. Perfect.

Too soon I heard the rioting, chattering, deafening, controlling noise of my soul.

My aim is to find those places of silence in everyday life, where I can experience some soul stilling.

Let him who cannot be alone beware of community . . . .
Let him who is not in community beware of being alone.
