A busy day for Phil.
It began with an early morning coffee with a couple of elders presenting ‘the strategic plan’.
Followed by speaking at the Willow Park mens breakfast on ‘endurance’ with super chef wearing a super Villa shirt.
Onto the role of ‘judge’ at the auditions for the talent show to be held next week at the Rutland Scarecrow Festival. More Cheryl than Simon we reckon.
From there he picked up the tribe to go and kick off the Seniors hoedown. Bella didn’t quite get to show off her hoedown throwdown moves. We were treated like royalty and given a great chili meal and given lots of attention ~ if ever the kids are needing a grandparent fix then the seniors are the people to hang out with.
The helicopter flew in and we went off to Highway 33 for a great evening service (actually we drove…)
Phil spoke on the Good Samaritan, we commissioned 8 youth interns for the year and prayed for our lovely new friends, the Crandall family. They are heading off with there 3 young girls to YWAM Hawaii before going on mission to India or Cambodia for 6 months.
I really admire this family who are stepping out of a very comfortable life to follow a call together.
Diversaturday.
