I am seasonally affected following a couple of weeks of colds and viruses, grey skies and lower than ave temps.

The Collins family began taking Oil of Oregano – we are walking pizza’s.

A bright spot was visiting my friend Sheri’s ART IS {HOPE} showcase.

ART IS {HOPE} joins forces with Artists who are willing to use their influence to tell the stories of children who are affected by Armed Conflict, who exist in Extreme Poverty or who are trapped inChild Trafficking.

An incredible night of live music, film and fabulous art was experienced during Global Citizen Week.

I enjoyed meeting some great artists. Some of my favorites.

What am I reading this week?

Dipping into ‘Leading on Empty’ by Wayne Cordeiro.

‘Whaaattttt’? I hear our congregation say.

I am hoping that by reading the book, hearing the stories and being realistic about pastoral ministry we will maintain the energy we have and learn some more refuelling strategies.

A preventative read.

A few stats for you…

80% believe pastoral ministry affects families negatively.

33% say that being in ministry is an outright hazard to family life.

50% feel unable to meet the needs of the congregation.

25% of pastors wives see their husbands work schedule as a source of conflict.

80% of pastors say they have insufficient time with their spouse.

56% of pastors say they have no close friends.

‘Nothing becomes a life change until you assign the highest value you can to it’

Faith. Marriage, Family, Health – not only priorities – but higher priorities.

With all of this in mind, we are now going to do what we do well.

A family holiday with great friends, skiing and lots of laughter.

See you in 2 weeks….
